Susan L. Heller

Susan is Co-Managing Shareholder of the Orange County office of Greenberg Traurig, Chair of the Global Trademark & Brand Management Group, and Co-Chair of the Global Women’s Initiative.  

At the forefront of strategic management and monetization of big name brands on a worldwide level, Susan is known for developing cutting-edge branding strategies, most notably in "bet-the brand" high stakes trademark cases. Fortune 500 companies, world champion athletes, high-net-worth individuals and A-list celebrities turn to Susan for her strategic thought leadership and counsel, honed by three decades of experience in virtually every industry and jurisdiction throughout the world. 

Susan is consistently recognized as having one of the preeminent trademark practices in the country and for being a game-changer. She was recently named the 2018 Most Influential Woman in Trademark Law (California)-Acquisition International; 2018 Gamechanger of the Year: Trademarks/Brand Management-ACQ5 Global Awards; 2019 Lawyer of the Year (Trademark Law)-Best Lawyers in America; 2018 Trade Marks Lawyer of the Year-Finance Monthly Global Awards;2018 IP Lawyer of the Year-Corporate Livewire; 2018 Lawyer of the Year for IP-Lawyer Monthly; and a 2018 Top IP Attorney and Top 100 Women Lawyer-Los Angele/San Francisco Daily Journal. In recognition of her decades of commitment working to advance women, National Diversity Council named Susan one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the US.

Susan is a proud member of the President's Council of Cornell Women (PCCW), sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board of UC Irvine Business School, and serves on the Board of Directors of Human Options, an organization dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic violence. 

Born in NYC, Susan was raised in Short Hills, NJ. After receiving her JD at George Washington University, she worked her way west, practicing law in Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, before settling in Newport Beach, California, which she now calls home with her husband Juda.
