Tim Minton

Tim is a leader in short form digital content creation that leverages technology for scalable production. As CEO of Zazoom Media Group, he has built a startup company that began in his mother-in-law’s dining room to be a global producer and distributor of online news and entertainment.

ZMG’s videos have been viewed more than 500M times, in English, Spanish, French, Portugese and Mandarin. Distribution partnerships with all of the best media companies in the industry, including Yahoo!, AOL and Google deliver ZMG’s popular Buzz60 and other brands to mobile devices, apps, Smart TVs and 7,600 websites.

Combining traditional journalistic standards with edgy, entertaining writing and rapid production methodology has differentiated ZMG’s content and accelerated growth.

Currently, Tim serves on the board of the technology company Buzztala and is a member of the Cornell University Council.

Earlier, as an on-air correspondent at NBC, ABC-7 Eyewitness News in New York City and WTVJ in Miami, Tim’s reporting earned 18 Emmy awards and other local and national honors. His journalism career started in Ithaca, where he wrote stories for the New York Times while at Cornell. He also appeared on WVBR and WTKO radio news and sportscasts and was sports editor of the Ithaca Sunday Post.

A graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, Tim lives in New York City with his wife Linda, son Jack and daughter Rachel, who is a member of Cornell’s Class of 2015.
