The Honorable Christopher C. Conner

The Honorable Christopher C. Conner sits on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Nominated by President George W. Bush, he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 26, 2002. On September 1, 2013, he became Chief Judge of the District. Prior to taking his seat on the Federal Bench, Chief Judge Conner practiced with the Harrisburg law firm of Mette, Evans and Woodside, where he headed the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Litigation Department from 1995 to 2002.

Chief Judge Conner is a past director of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Dauphin County Bar Association, past director and officer of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and a life fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation. Currently, Chief Judge Conner is an adjunct faculty member for the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and sits on the school’s Board of Counselors. He is a member of the Judicial Counsel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and a member of the Judicial Code of Conduct Committee of the United States Judicial Conference.

Chris earned his B.A. from Cornell University and his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law.
