Bill graduated from Cornell in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science, having majored in Agricultural Economics. Upon graduation, he worked at Union Plastics Company in Kearney, NJ for three years. He then joined HMK Enterprises, Inc., where he ultimately headed up HMK’s acquisition and strategic planning activities and was responsible for sourcing and directing the acquisition of more than 25 companies on HMK’s behalf.
In 1989 Bill founded KODA Enterprises Group, where he still serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. KODA has acquired or sold over 30 companies. He is active on the Boards of six companies, chairing five of them.
Bill was active in the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), holding several positions, including Chairman of the New England Chapter and chairman of some international events. He has served on the Board of the New England Chapter of YPO Gold.
Bill served on the Board of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for over 14 years. At Dana-Farber he created a research fund in honor of his late wife, Darcie, and is Co-chair of the Men’s Collaborative to Cure Women’s Cancer and he was Co-chair of the Basic Science Visiting Committee.
Bill serves on the President’s Advisory Board of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is the Co-founder of the Herbert M. Karol Cancer Foundation and is active in many fundraising events for various charities. He was formerly on the Boards of the New Hampton School, Carroll School, and Boston Philharmonic.
Bill and his wife Sinesia have four children. They spend part of the year in Vitória, Brazil. They enjoy music, tennis, golf, skiing, and a variety of other interests. |
